King of Prussia (KOP) is a small town in the greater Philadelphia area, northwest of Philadelphia proper with a population of approximately 21,000. The community took its name in the 18th Century from a local tavern named “The King of Prussia Inn, which was named after Fredrick II, King of Prussia.
King of Prussia is known nationwide for its retail shopping. The King of Prussia Mall is the largest retail shopping mall in the United States with more than 450 stores and restaurants. KOP is also the location of the Valley Forge Casino Resort, which has over 500 hotel rooms, 600 slot machines, table games, sports betting, seven restaurants, a spa, nightlife, a convention center, and a seasonal poolside club called Valley Beach.
