When did Customer Appreciation Day begin?
Bud Haly, President and Owner, says that Customer Appreciation Day began 8 years ago .”It started as a way to say thanks to our clients for allowing us to serve them all year, a fun setting in which to meet our customers,” Bud explains.
“Some clients I may not have ever met in person or seen in a long time is my favorite part. We want to celebrate them and thank them.”
Plus, we have the Brandywine Valley SPCA stop by.
Nancy Bickell in Customer Service looks forward to meeting the customers she has talked to for so many years on the phone. “It’s always a pleasure to put the voice to the face,” she says. “It’s a great social event for both the customers and the Haly team. We all look forward to this day filled with laughter and food!
HR and Office Manager Chris Hahn agrees that getting a chance to meet Haly customers face to face and have good conversations with them is the best part of the event.
“Meeting the customers that I’ve talked to on the phone and sharing the camaraderie with my coworkers; how we all work together to make the day- and day-to-day- is how we make it work says Joan Hilton, Haly Home Comfort Customer Service.
Jon Sweeney, our resident mechanic who takes care of the Haly/ GVP fleet, looks forward to being our Grill Master every year.
